I am very proud to be the Headteacher at Woodlands Primary School, supported by a highly skilled and dedicated team of teachers and support staff. Our school is a two form entry primary with an integrated nursery and a Hearing Impaired Resource Base for South Gloucestershire.
Our vision is to be outstanding in all – being the best that we can be in everything that we do. We have high aspirations for our children, and our ethos can be best described as ‘nurture and challenge’. We strongly believe in providing an emotionally predictable, safe learning environment where children can thrive under our high expectations.
We follow a rich knowledge-based curriculum called 'A Million Dreams', which places a strong emphasis on children acquiring a secure understanding of the core skills of reading, writing and maths, within an exciting and engaging, broad and balanced curriculum.
This week we are celebrating Deaf Awareness week by learning about inspiring deaf individuals. Today, the children enjoyed a virtual visit from Steven Gardiner from @NDCS_UK who talked about his experience of deafness #DeafAwarenessWeek2022 https://t.co/TZcVnsZAGz
