I am very proud to be the Headteacher at Woodlands Primary School, supported by a highly skilled and dedicated team of teachers and support staff. Our school is a two form entry primary with an integrated nursery and a Hearing Impaired Resource Base for South Gloucestershire.
Our vision is to be outstanding in all – being the best that we can be in everything that we do. We have high aspirations for our children, and our ethos can be best described as ‘nurture and challenge’. We strongly believe in providing an emotionally predictable, safe learning environment where children can thrive under our high expectations.
We follow a rich knowledge-based curriculum called 'A Million Dreams', which places a strong emphasis on children acquiring a secure understanding of the core skills of reading, writing and maths, within an exciting and engaging, broad and balanced curriculum.
Dear parents/carers Due to the hot weather forecast this week children are welcome to wear their school PE kit (see below ) as per uniform policy if they wish or their uniform. They are not to wear football shirts/branded leisure wear - if they don't have a house colour top then they can wear a plain white t-shirt or their school shirt. We will be contacting parents if children arrive in football tops. Please ensure your child brings in a bottle of water and a sunhat if required. Also, for children to have any sunscreen applied before they come to school. Children's PE Kit: Shorts Plain navy or black (not cycle shorts, leggings or lycra) T-shirt In house colour with school logo (House colour/plain white alternative) Trainers/daps Any colour – must be suitable for physical activity Thank you for your support and stay safe
