I am very proud to be the Headteacher at Woodlands Primary School, supported by a highly skilled and dedicated team of teachers and support staff. Our school is a two form entry primary with an integrated nursery and a Hearing Impaired Resource Base for South Gloucestershire.
Our vision is to be outstanding in all – being the best that we can be in everything that we do. We have high aspirations for our children, and our ethos can be best described as ‘nurture and challenge’. We strongly believe in providing an emotionally predictable, safe learning environment where children can thrive under our high expectations.
We follow a rich knowledge-based curriculum called 'A Million Dreams', which places a strong emphasis on children acquiring a secure understanding of the core skills of reading, writing and maths, within an exciting and engaging, broad and balanced curriculum.
This week we have been thinking about how we can include everyone in our school community and create a strong sense of belonging. Children have made kindness pledges. ❤️ #kindness @GreenshawTrust https://t.co/UcI5BMhtfg
The children at Woodlands enjoyed a visit from Helen at Dogs Trust yesterday. She delivered an engaging assembly and some fun practical workshops to help teach us how to be ‘dog smart’. Ask your children about the 5 important rules to dog safety! @DogsTrust https://t.co/8PBYTqrcmi
Marking Scoliosis Awareness Day @BritScoliosis with Emma and Mrs Tunnacliffe who have the spinal condition and are great role models. https://t.co/IgTRiJ4Fsx
