In year Admissions

We welcome new pupils into our school across the school where we have spaces.

Here are some quotes from children who have joined us from other schools

'I've made lots of friends and I enjoy coming to school' Year 1 pupil.

'I'm loving everything about school, I was a bit sad when I started as I was leaving friends at my old school, but I've made lots of new friends' Year 3 pupil.

'Also just to say a massive thank you because even her grandparents noticed a change in her personality since starting at Woodlands she is so happy ! Wish we had done it sooner she’s so enthusiastic with her learning now' Parent of Year 2 child.

We understand that the transition to a new school can sometimes be tricky, and we have developed an induction checklist for pupils starting with us during the school year.

It is lovely to see the transformation in children from when they first join - often a little apprehensive at the start - to smiling and walking in with friends, just within a few weeks.

Please enquire admin@woodlandsprimaryyate.co.uk for more information.

The initial form you will need to complete for an in-year transfer (IYTF) is the South Gloucestershire Council In Year Application form.  Once we are in receipt of the completed IYTF this is put across to the GLT admissions committee for consideration along with our recommendation.
