The secondary phase of Yate Academy has undergone quite a transformation over the last 18 months. Our outstanding GCSE grades in the summer of 2018 were the result of hard work by staff and students, along with the support of the rest of the school community.

When you visit Yate Academy, you will see disruption free learning, excellent teaching, engaged students, enthusiastic teachers and a positive environment. Hard work is expected but we also match this with fun and enjoyment. Our enrichment programme allows students to take part in sport, music (our timetabled Year 7 choir is very popular!) as well as an incredible array of visiting speaking as part of our Ivy League Lectures.

Most recently, we had a visit from Ben Saunders who is a polar explorer. He wowed over 200 students after school on a Friday with his tales of skiing to both poles.
